Good site for Ukrainian news

I've been following the blog Ukrainian Canadian - A site for kozak canucks for a while now.

It has a pretty good lineup of Ukrainian news articles. Unfortunately, you have to log in to leave a comment, tho. Yet another step and online commitment. However, die-hard news hounds may not mind too much. :-)

I have no idea who the blog author is ... other than his name is Andrew and he visits this blog from time to time and kindly leaves a comment, along with a link to his blog. (Thanks for the links back from your blog, Andrew!)

If you are a news hound, I recommend that you visit his site regularly, and/or subscribe to his RSS feed if you haven't yet.

And make sure to leave a comment now and again on one of his posts. If you're still shy about doing that, keep in mind that the more active Ukrainian community members are in the blogosphere, the stronger our community will become. Not least of all due to a tighter and more focussed network.

Yes, I do agree Paulette, Andrew has been doing a fabulous job with his blog. I have been a keen follower of his posts as well. Great to see the Ukrainian community growing on the blogosphere. Of course we owe you a big kudos for getting this all started.

Thanks for dropping in! And for reminding me to add him to my blogroll of Ukie blogs. Nice to see it growing!

You've been blogging up a storm lately yourself! I was impressed with how soon you were blogging elegantly as well as eloquently. Good job! (And keep it up, eh?)

BTW, did I ever mention how much I love the name ukemonde? So very clever!

That Ukrainian Canadian has a good blog, but I wont make registration for commenting...

By the way he mentioned in most recent message about TV Inter from Ukraine filming about Madonna's 50th anniversary. You can watch this episode at http://www.ukrainatv.com/index.php?fuseaction=files.one&id=12871&catid=13

Thanks, Stan. Yeah, that was my reaction to the log-in requirement to comment.

And thanks for the Madonna link. I won't bother with it myself, but I guess it's always good to know what's going on in the world around us.

Hope your move is going (or has gone?) well.

... Not easy going. Housing market is tough (or rather "soft").

ДОБРИЙ ДЕHЬ

Thanks, I'm really glad you all like my blog! I'm a big fan of all yours too. The comment registration is really good feedback, I just thought no one bothered to comment :p I have removed the registration requirement.

I don't know what else you want to know about me, but if you notice a trend I do try to hit up all the Toronto events ;)

You know we should all collaborate sometime on a project, like everyone blogging from their local Independence day festival this weekend. Also I have a great radio voice hehe.

I'm glad the Ukrainian news round-up is becoming so popular, I put the most work into those posts. Although most of the time I only have time to work on the actual content, I would love to revise the blog with a more Ukrainian-looking theme and a few more add-ons.

Keep that feedback, I hope to see you guys on my blog sometime :)

Добрий День back to you, Andrew! Thanks for stopping by.

Yes I did notice that Toronto trend thing. :-)

Love your ideas ... as you probably know I'm really big on collaborating. Разом нас багато and all that.

So, you're interesting in doing radio? Drop me a line so we can talk єндик...

You should also consider joining our broadcaster's list-serv. I think it would be mutually benefical.

In the meantime, keep up the great blogging! And thanks for doing your part to expand our blogging community. Let's stay in touch.

Hi!
Do you guys use anything besides forum comments to keep in touch?

Yes, a private mailing list. Send me your email and I'll add you to it. (As I said in my previous response, I think you would be a valuable addition to the group and would also benefit from it.)

Email to the address on the contact page of the Nash Holos website.
